Car Rental Accessories Hire

Nationwide offers a range of convenient extras available for hire at minimal cost with your car rental.

Rental baby & booster seats

Nationwide hires baby seats suitable for 1-2 year olds and booster seats for 3-5 year olds. Baby seats can be secured to the baby seat bolt available in some rental car models. Children in booster seats are restrained using the vehicle’s safety belt. By law, children under the age of five must be restrained in a baby or booster seat. Child seats are NZ$25.00 for the whole hire.

Touring maps

Nationwide provides complimentary touring maps although In-car GPS Navigation is recommended.

Ski racks and snow chains

Ski racks and snow chains are available free-of-charge with your rental car in winter (June to October). Roof racks can hold a variety of skis and snowboards depending on the vehicle. Snow chains are recommended for all rental cars travelling in snowy or icy areas. We will show you how to fit the chains when you collect your rental car.
